PROJECTS

For almost 2 decades, Andante International Foundation (formerly known as Andante Resources) has been working to provide Malaysian rural communities with basic education awareness and healthcare. This was achieved through voluntary projects mostly in Borneo. They include safe parenting programs and parent support, health and hygiene sessions, English and Summer camps, Science camps, literacy programs, medical screening programs, volunteers training, and many more. The projects deliver both basic resources and support to address basic needs of these communities.

Today, AIF is geared towards developing sustainable communities not only for underprivileged and marginalized folks, but also for the needy in urban areas. Much of AIF’s work in communities focuses on access to literacy and education, healthcare, food, water, protecting vulnerable environments, and building community resilience.

AIF believes in sustainable charity where skills and management capacity are as important as resource donation for rural and underprivileged communities. As the old adage goes, ‘give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach him how to fish and you feed him for a life time’. Hence it is a leap forward for AIF to encourage youths and volunteers to gain and contribute their knowledge, skills, time and experiences gained to aid communities in need.
